PUBLIC RELATIONS ASSISTANT
South Florida Office
Seeking an entry-level PR Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate looking to develop and grow within a rapidly booming agency representing a dynamic array of fashion, event, nonprofit, consumer packaged goods, finance, real estate, and corporate clients. Position requires 1 year of internship or agency experience. Those whom are not results-driven and detail-oriented need not apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES 
Oversee and manage all day-to-day activities pertaining to assigned accounts
Draft media alerts, press releases and other marketing collateral
Actively research new media opportunities
Pitch intriguing story concepts to national, regional and local media
Develop influencer, charitable, and college ambassador programs
Produce detailed weekly, monthly and quarterly client reports
Assist in event planning and execution
Monitor, track and clip all press placements
Research and update customized media lists for each client
Track delivery and returns of product samples
Assist in supporting senior team members  
Coordinate with LA office & showroom as needed
Update and post relevant content on social media accounts: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, Blog, etc.
Represent the company at community and social events
Assist with new business development 

 
REQUIREMENTS:
1-2  years public relations experience via an internship or agency employment
Strong, effective and fast writer (no exceptions)
Familiar with cultural trends and influencers
Must be a proactive and independent self-started with a Get It Done attitude
Able to take direction when needed
Skilled in brainstorming creative ideas to bring to the team
Able to multi-task with excellent time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and presentation abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Adobe experience CS6 (Photoshop, InDesign) would be a plus
Able to prioritize between several projects and responsibilities
Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or comparable field is a plus but NOT required for the right candidate (experienced)
